For this task, the Joint Communications Unit is tasked to ensure compatibility of communications systems and standard operating procedures of the different special operations units. The Joint Special Operations Command also oversees the Special Mission Units of U.S. Special Operations Command. These are elite special operations forces units that perform highly classified activities. The Intelligence Support Activity's primary role is as a deep reconnaissance, intelligence-gathering special mission unit, in support of DEVGRU and Delta Force. Delta Force and DEVGRU are the military's primary counter-terrorism units, eliminating high-value targets and performing hostage rescues are their main roles, along with special reconnaissance and direct action assignments. The 24th Special Tactics Squadron attaches personnel as enablers to these two units such as Combat Controllers to provide air traffic control and fire support, Pararescuemen to provide combat medicine and combat search and rescue, and Tactical Air Control Party specialists to co-ordinate close air support. The Joint Communications Unit provides communications capabilities. Units from the Army's 75th Ranger Regiment and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment are controlled by JSOC when deployed as part of JSOC Task Forces such as Task Force 121 and Task Force 145. JSOC has an operational relationship with the CIA's Special Activities Center (SAC). SAC's Special Operations Group (SOG) often recruits from JSOC SMU personnel. DEVGRU ------------------------ The typical SEAL platoon has an OIC (Officer in Charge, usually an O-3), an AOIC (Assistant Officer in Charge, usually an O-2), a platoon chief (E-7), an LPO (Leading Petty Officer, E-6) and others ranging from E-6 to E-4 (most are E-5). Occasionally there is a 'third O'. Usually the third O is an O-1 on his first operational deployment. This makes the platoon consist of 3 officers and 13 enlisted personnel. The core leadership in the Troop and Platoon are the Commander/OIC and the Senior Enlisted NCO (Senior Chief/Chief). Troop core skills consist of: Sniper, Breacher, Communicator, Maritime/Engineering, Close Air Support, Corpsman, Point-man/Navigator, Primary Driver/Navigator (Rural/Urban/Protective Security), Heavy Weapons Operator, Sensitive Site Exploitation, Air Operations Master, Lead Climber, Lead Diver/Navigator, Interrogator, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Technical Surveillance, and Advanced Special Operations. In 1987, SEAL Team 6 was renamed to the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group, although members are still frequently referred to informally as 'SEAL Team 6'. SFOD-D ------------------------ The 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment–Delta (1st SFOD-D), referred to variously as Delta Force, Combat Applications Group (CAG), Army Compartmented Elements (ACE), 'The Unit',or within Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Task Force Green, is a special operations force of the United States Army, under operational control of JSOC. The unit's missions primarily involve counterterrorism, hostage rescue, direct action, and special reconnaissance, often against high-value targets. Delta Force are the U.S. military's tier one special mission unit that are tasked with performing the most complex, covert, and dangerous missions directed by the President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense. Each troop has four teams, each one led by a team leader, a Master Sergeant (E-8) or Sergeant First Class (E-7), and an assistant team leader who can also have the same rank. Each team can have as many as twelve, or as few as one or two operators. 160th SOAR(A) ------------------------ The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), abbreviated as 160th SOAR(A), is a special operations force of the United States Army that provides helicopter aviation support for special operations forces. Its missions have included attack, assault, and reconnaissance, and these missions are usually conducted at night, at high speeds, low altitudes, and on short notice. Nicknamed the Night Stalkers and called Task Force Brown within the JSOC, the 160th SOAR has headquarters at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. JSOC SJA SER#1 2 FEB 2021 //INTEL INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING LIVONIA 1 FEB 2016 CLASSIFIED RED. FOR TEAMS EYES ONLY. AGENTS STATUS: Most likely still alive as their cover should last at least a few more days. The separatists cant be sure of what they have yet but time is of the essence. Location is unknown but they are likely hidden in some remote area under heavy guard. Rescued operatives should be kept restrained until their identity can be confirmed. CODENAME GERONIMO: Not much is known about the illusive character. His location will have to be tracked down through the separatistnetwork. The partial information available is that he most likely has a background in the Livonian army as an EOD specialist, likes to dress in a black leather jacket and black trainers with white stripes. Carries an unusual weapon, a VSS Vintorez of russian make. Approach with caution and eliminate on sight. OPPOSING FORCES: The separatists are mostly locals from different social groups. Military experience differs from untrained recruits to former military personnel with actual combat experience. There are suspicions that russian Wagner mercs may secretly be reinforcing the separatist militia. Groups are appearing in strengths of 4-30 troops and are estimated to around 700 in the AO.Armaments consist of mixed small arms of soviet origin, mostly carbines, machineguns, Igla MANPADS and RPGs. Some heavier equipment has been reported, mostly dShkas on vehicle mounts, a few ZSU flatbed platforms and a rumour circulates that they have one or two working ZSU-23 anti aerial platforms. The agency is currently tracking down the suppliers. Threat to air ops is considered HIGH until elimination of AA threat can be confirmed. CAS and SPECTRE support will not be available. LIVONIAN FORCES: Only present at the airfield and FOBs for now. No patrols are sent for fear of IEDs and the Livonian government are unwilling to escalate the military presence in the area at this time. One infantry company is currently dividing its platoons between the FOBs and the regional Governors protective detail. CIVILIANS: Only women and children have been allowed to evacuate the area. An estimated 4000 civilian men of military age are still present all over the countryside and in the villages. Signed: CIA field analysis group Livonia - East Europa divison. Game flow: - WIN conditions that must be met are 1: Kill the separatist leader. 2: Rescue the operatives. - LOOSE condition to be avoided is: More than 50 percent casualties. - Bodies of casualties should ideally be retrived and stored at Olympus Air Base. - To locate the hostages and the rebel leader you need to gather Intelpoints. - Gather intelpoints by interrogating suspects, searching bodies and locations and arresting rebels. - The JSOC OIC (Officer in Charge) decides what to do next and when. - Everyone has access to Tier 1 artillery but get clearance from the OIC before using as ammo is limited. - No respawn. Onelife is in effect but unused slots may be used as extra lifes. - Operators with medical skills (M) may stitch and administer fluids if equipment is available. - Medics (M/D) can PAK players in medical facilities. - Engineers/EOD (E and AE) may repair vehicles in the field and fully repair them near facilities. - Skip time resting in a FOB if you plan an attack at a certain hour. - TFAR transmissions made near the airbase will be retransmitted by the comms tower up to 50 klicks. - Keep an eye on your reputation. The higher it is, the more helpful the locals are. - If the reputation is low, the civilians will start joining the separatists and their quantity in the AO will increase. - Disarmed IEDs give reputation, destroyed ones do not. - Radio menu 0-8 to open transport and CAS menu. Whoever calls the transport must enter and leave last. Avoid clicking on mission markers as destination. - You can rest, rearm and find vehicles at all FOBs. - Advanced stamina requires 8 hrs rest for full recovery. - You have to take the hostages prisoner in order to transport them. - You have limited resources. If you lose a bird or vehicle it wont be replaced. --------------HOW TO SUCCEED----------- You are not an infantry unit. Do not use infantry tactics. Never go in blind. Never meet an enemy head on if you can avoid it. Roomclearing is the most dangerous job. Use your flashbangs. Use assets or recon to find where the enemy is weak. Exploit any weakness you can find. Eliminate any risk that can be eliminated. Divide your force. It will take forever if you do everything as a platoon. Figure out your comms before dividing. Always have a contingency plan. Gather in force when neccessary. Avoid combat if not on your terms. When you strike, do it fast and hard. Never let down your mental preparedness. Use your head before you use your firepower.
